Future Hack and Noordung Blockchain Hub EU invite you to participate at the Hackaton »With Blockchain Technology towards SDG 2030«, starting with kick-off meeting on 19th January 2018 at 17.00 in Noordung Blockchain Hub EU and continuing on 22th January 2018 with 48-hours development of project ideas, ending on 25th January 2018 in Davos, Switzerland.

The January 2018 Hackaton events takes place in Davos/Klosters, Switzerland, and in the Noordung Blockchain Hub EU in Slovenia. The hackaton focuses on Social Impact and Partnerships to demonstate that blockchain projects can be compelling solutions for the United Nations SDGs for the future of humanity.

We are looking for talented individuals and teams of top developers, designers and entrepreneurs to collaborate to solve one of six pressing global challenges. Topics include solutions for healthcare, industry and infrastructure, smart cities and communities, responsible production and consumption, climate change and justice and governance systems.

Are you up to the challenge to bring emerging, decentralized and distributed  solutions to solve these key initiatives?

Schedule:

  • January 19, 2018, at 17.00: Teams and individuals meet in Noordung Blockchain Hub EU (creating teams and presentation of the rules)
  • January 22, 2018, at 17.00: FutureHack Opens
  • January 22 – 24, 2018: FutureHack teams build their projects (48 hours)
  • January 24, 2018: FutureHack ends
  • January 25, 2018: Projects present for Judging
  • Award ceremony in Davos

Judging Process:

All teams will be required to present a short 3-minute demo of their project. Finalists from the hackaton will be selected by a panel of FutureHack experts. Each submission will be scored based on following criteria: Execution, Impact, Creativity, Blockchain, Scale, Design. For detailed description please check https://futurehack.io   

Prizes:

  • Davos Prize: 125.000 USD
  • Slovenia Prize: 125.000 USD
  • UN SDG Prize: 25.000 USD

SDG Prizes also include participation in the next FutureHack series which includes an extended Virtual Hackaton.
